In Service Until He Returns

by Ariel Alcantara

I got to know the Kapatid Ministry when I was working as an OFW in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, through the ministry of Bro. Titus and Sis. Beth and their children. The “Ringgit para sa Yagit” program of KMI challenged me and led me to my involvement with the ministry.

The feeding programs and family visitations are still memorable to me since I was personally involved with them when I was stationed in Bacolod: visiting remote barangays, meeting the kids and their mothers and fathers, and conducting Bible studies and prayer meetings.

I also followed up on Bro. Titus’ letter to Starbucks Mactan to solicit bread for a feeding program in Olango Island, Cebu. The coordination of relief goods, construction materials, and cash distribution for families affected by strong typhoons in Leyte, Samar, Iloilo, Cebu, Bohol, and Davao is still fresh in my mind regarding what KMI can do to help and reach out to people through local church partners. I pray and hope that, by the grace of our Lord Jesus, KMI will be of service to Him until His return.
