Never Give Up on Christ

by Catherine Apigo-Pasco

My name is Catherine Pasco, and I wanted to take this moment to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible blessings and profound impact the Kapatid Ministry has had on my life. It is with great joy and a humble heart that I share my testimony of thankfulness.

I was employed as a casino dealer in Genting Malaysia when I first came across the Kapatid Ministry. Before that, I prayed to God to find a church in Genting where I can attend services. I felt lost, overwhelmed, and in desperate need of spiritual guidance. I am grateful

that God heard my prayers. He sent Tito Titus, Tita Beth, Pastor Ronald, and the KLBC family to Genting to share the gospel. They were all Filipino Christians, which made me feel right at home. They prepared food for us at every fellowship, which made me feel even better. God truly uses other people to show His love for us. Their unwavering support and genuine care touched my heart in ways words can hardly describe.

Through the Kapatid Ministry, I was inspired to invite my coworkers to attend church in Genting. It was really hard for me because I am a shy type of person, and I am afraid to be rejected. But Tito Titus told me, “Huwag kang mapagod na mag invite, kung minsan may mga tatanggi sayo okay lang, ituloy mo lang ang gawain dahil ito ay para sa Diyos”. Tito Titus reminded me not to give up on Christ. I witnessed Tito Titus’ dedication to serving the Lord. I have experienced a profound transformation in my relationship with God. His

commitment to fostering a deep connection with our Heavenly Father has helped me develop a stronger faith and a renewed sense of purpose. My spiritual growth has benefited greatly from the teachings, mentorship, and resources provided by the Kapatid Ministry, which enabled me to navigate life's challenges with grace and wisdom. KMI has been instrumental in fostering deep, meaningful relationships with fellow believers in Genting. The genuine love and acceptance I have received from my brothers and sisters in Christ have been a source of immense strength and encouragement. The fellowship and shared experiences within the ministry have fostered a tight-knit community that I am grateful to

call my spiritual family.

When my contract ended, I decided to go back to the Philippines. Then, the pandemic happened. I cannot go to church, and I felt that I am drifting away from God. I prayed to God to restore my faith like when I was in Malaysia. Thank God, He heard my prayers. Tito Titus, Tita Beth, and Allen, one of my sisters in Christ in Genting, invited me to attend an online fellowship. Even if it is online, I was delighted to see them again. Indeed, nothing is impossible with God. Now that things are going back to normal including the face-to-face church gathering, we continue to participate in online fellowship every Tuesday with our devoted Christian brothers and sisters Amy and Arwin Calansanan, Tita Beth, and Pastor Titus Laxa Jr. We also continue to invite other current and former OFW friends and families to join our online fellowship.

KMI’s commitment to serving others, especially OFWs and families, and its dedication to various outreach programs are one of the many aspects of the organization for which I am particularly thankful.

As I reflect on my journey with the Kapatid Ministry, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the countless ways it has touched my life. KMI has given me a safe space to grow spiritually, discover my purpose, and experience the love of God in tangible ways. I will forever be

grateful for the blessings, guidance, and love that the ministry has bestowed upon me.

I appreciate the selfless leaders, volunteers, and fellow believers who have poured their hearts into this ministry and made it a place of hope, healing, and transformation. KMI’s

unwavering commitment to spreading the love of Christ and empowering individuals like myself to live a life rooted in faith, service, and community is something to be thankful for.

May God continue to bless the Kapatid Ministry abundantly and use it as a beacon of light in the lives of many.
