OFWs and their Families

God works in the lives of Overseas Filipino Workers

by Rhalyn David

How did you come to know about the Kapatid Ministry?

I first learned about the Kapatid Ministry while attending FCCC in 2015. I met Tito Titus and Tita Beth Laxa — the parents of our Pastor Ronald and Sister Len Longos.

How did you become involved with the Kapatid Ministry? Why did you become involved?

I was moved by their work in the Philippines and a burden grew inside me to pray for the Child Sponsorship. I asked God how I might assist in this ministry. During a Pantai Baptist Church (PBC) mission exposure trip, I was given the opportunity to work as a translator.

What are events or projects of the Kapatid Ministry in the past 20 years that are memorable or remain dear to you? Why did this event(s) or project(s) impact you?

The Child Sponsorship and the Genting BS remain memorable and dear to me. My faith was tested, and I found out how God works in the lives of OFWs in Malaysia.

What is your hope and prayer for Kapatid Ministry?

I hope that KMI will continue what Tito and Tita have started. I pray that they will be used mightily and effectively and that they will be kept from temptations and personal interest.
