I am Renelyn Mallosa Batomalaque, a fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Criminology student at Negros Oriental State University (NORSU). Allow me to begin by thanking God for His grace, provision, and protection in everyday life. He deserves the highest praise and worship. To Kapatid Ministry and staff, thank you for allowing me to share my living testimony, even if only in writing. I am hoping to meet all of you in person.
I joined the Educational College Scholarship (ECS) program during my third year of college, during my second semester. On March 27, 2022, at exactly 4:19 p.m., I received a message request from Ms. Rhoro Añonuevo saying, "Congratulations! You have been selected to receive the scholarship from Kapatid Ministry.

I was surprised, and I thanked God for His goodness and unexpected blessings in my life. God is always on time because, at that moment, I had a lot of financial difficulties since my two brothers and I began staying at our boarding house in the city because they have limited face-to-face classes to attend and I needed to be in the city to have a stable internet connection for my online classes. The ECS program is truly helping students who aspire to be successful in life. It served as fuel for poor students who were determined to complete their education. It was challenging and costly to finish your education when you were financially unstable, whereas when you were simply determined to cross the finish line, God would provide for all of your needs. Despite life’s challenges, one thing I was certain of and grateful for was that I had God, a rich and loving Father. I am so thankful to Him for always providing and blessing me with scholarships and support that helped me with all of my needs, especially the ECS program, which assisted me financially every month to sustain my needs. Thank you, ECS program and Kapatid Ministry, for your significant contribution to my success.

Allow me to thank Ate Amy and Kuya Arwin Calansanan for helping me become an ECS recipient. They introduced me to the Kapatid Ministry and assisted me in applying for its ECS program. I saw how eager they were to help me and the youth in Tacalan reach our dreams in life as they searched for different supports to aid our education. I appreciate them for remembering, praying, and encouraging us along the way. Both of them played an essential part in our success. Thank you, Ate Amy and Kuya Arwin; we miss you already here in Tacalan.
My prayers and hopes are that God will help me grow in His words and strengthen my relationships with Him. I ask and pray to God to help me pass the upcoming criminologist licensure examination because I can do nothing without Him. As I prepare for this journey, please join me in praying for guidance, wisdom, and provision. Whatever life throws at me, may my soul find joy in praising and worshiping God, the author of my life. I am hoping that God will answer all of my prayers in accordance with His will and plans for my life. To God be all the glory, Amen!
